‘Tis the season to air your grievances…
So you don’t celebrate Xmas, Hanukka or Kwaanza and you slept through the eclipse during the winter solstice this year, have no fear the holiday for the rest of us is here.
Merry Festivus one and all. Grab your aluminum festivus pole and let’s limbo one and all. (Except my ex-wife who couldn’t say aluminum without inadvertantly replacing the first “m” with a “b” making it alubinum.)
You aren’t familiar with Festivus? Have you been sleeping under a rock?
Festivus is an ancient tradition that pre-dates the birth of Jeebus (yeah like that really happened) and was revived on Seinfeld episode #166. (although Wiki claims it started in 1966, but seriously, are you gonna believe everything you read in Wikipedia?)
So air your grivances without retribution and perform those feats of strength and enjoy this holiday season despite those other holidays’ commercialism (especially that Xmas thingy.)
The track above is Limbo Rock by the Champs released in 1962
(Yeah I know Fesitivus purists prefer the Chubby Checker version but hey, I’m not a purist about anything.)
